DG & HAZMAT

We provide services of DG & HAZMAT classified shipments via Air-, Road- and Seafreight, including Oxygen Generators, Squibs, Smoke Hoods and Explosives with DG certificate (if required).

Dangerous Goods are defined by the United Nations Expert Committee in the following categories:

Explosives

1.1 Materials exploding in bulk

1.2 Fragmentation explosives

1.3 Explosives causing fire; these may be small-scale fire or fragmentation.

1.4 Explosives with insignificant danger of explosion (can be transported in passenger aircrafts)

1.5 Insensitive materials with explosive potential

1.6 Extremely insensitive materials with no bulk explosive potential

Gases

2.1 Inflammable gases

2.2 Non-inflammable/non-toxic gases

2.3 Toxic gases

Inflammable Liquids

3 Inflammable liquids; dyes, alcohol, acetone, petroleum, adhesives, thinner, etc.

Inflammable Solids

4.1 Inflammable Solids

4.2 Self-igniting materials

4.3 Materials that become dangerous or produce inflammable gases as a result of contact with water

Oxidizing materials and organic peroxides

5.1 Oxidizing materials. They produce oxygen when burning, which increases the intensity of the flame. Ammonium nitrate, calcium chlorate, etc.

5.2 Organic peroxides. Since they carry oxygen, they ignite easily; they are sensitive to impact and friction and they are harmful to the eyes. Butyl hydroperoxide, dibenzoyl peroxide, etc.

Toxic and infectious materials

6.1 Toxic materials. They produce poisoning when inhaled or otherwise ingested; upon contact with skin. Arsenic, cyanide, pesticides, nicotine, etc.

6.2 Infectious materials - containing pathogenic organisms (bacteria, viruses, rickettsias, parasites, mycetes) that are hazardous for humans and animals

Radioactive Materials

7 Radioactive Material.

Category I: very low radiation level on the package surface

Category II: medium radiation level on the package surface

Category III: High radiation level on the package surface

Fissile (capable of nuclear fission) substances (Uranium-233, Plutonium-239, etc.)

Corrosives

8 Corrosives. They cause damage to skin and corrosion of metals. Battery acids, mercury, sulphuric acid, etc.

Miscellaneous Dangerous Materials

9 Miscellaneous dangerous goods are those substances that are not classified in any of the above categories, but are dangerous by nature. Engines, dry ice, magnetic substances, environmentally hazardous materials.
